MBBS Clinical Communications Chatbot Showcase

I have the opportunity to participate in the MBSS Clinical Communications AI Chatbot Showcase, where I introduced the chatbot to students, healthcare professionals, and members of the public. The experience helped me build confidence in public speaking and improve my communication skills while engaging with a diverse audience. It was a valuable learning opportunity that deepened my understanding of the chatbot and its role in digital learning.

I participated in a showcase presentation for the MBSS Clinical Communications AI Chatbot, which was both a rewarding and enjoyable experience. The event provided an opportunity to engage with members of the public from NGH, students, and other visitors, sharing how the AI chatbot supports digital learning and helps students develop their clinical communication skills through interactive, scenario-based conversations.

Throughout the presentation, visitors asked a variety of questions about the chatbot and its capabilities. While I was able to answer many of them, I realised that I was not fully prepared for some technical and operational questions. These included how the AI software functions, the number of personas and scenarios available for students, whether faculty members can customise questions, and how the scenario-based content is developed. After the first showcase, I consulted my colleagues to gain a deeper understanding of the chatbot and its features. Through these discussions, I was able to learn more about its functionality and the development of its scenarios. As a result, during the second round of the showcase, I was able to confidently answer clinicians' questions and provide more detailed explanations about the system.

Overall, the showcase was a valuable learning experience. It helped me build confidence in public speaking, improve my ability to communicate with diverse audiences, and deepen my understanding of the AI chatbot. I look forward to participating in more showcases and continuing to develop my presentation and communication skills.
